R.J. Lomas is currently in his fourth full year serving as principal administrator of St. Mary School. R.J. enjoys living and maintaining a small farm in Williamston and has been an active member of St. Mary Parish for the last nine years. He attended Shrine of the Little Flower Parish and Schools in Royal Oak, Michigan where he grew up. After earning a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Detroit (’90) and a few years of employment with Chrysler Credit Corporation (Troy, MI) he returned to school to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Wayne State University while teaching and coaching in Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He is currently working on his Masters of Science in Educational Leadership through Madonna College. R.J. has a varied range of experience in education, business, finance, management, and development including: Teacher at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs (Beverly Hills 1996-2000), U of D Jesuit Director of Admissions and Financial Aid (2004-08), St. Fabian Assistant Principal (2003-04), U of D Jesuit Director of Enrollment and Athletics/Management Team Member (2004-2008), Shrine High School and Academy Assistant Principal (2008-2013), Telluride Association Development and Finance Assistant (2012-16), National Account Executive (Cardconnect, 2016 to present), Capital Area Floor Care owner/proprietor (2016-2019). What he loves most about St. Mary Parish and School is that it is a beautiful, supportive, strong Catholic community that is also supporting the development and growth of a strong Catholic, classical school.
